Common questions

Common questions

  • A portrait session includes the photoshoot itself, professional direction during the shoot, light setup, and post-production retouching.

You’ll get high-resolution files, web-optimized versions, and a commercial license for your use.

Everything’s organized via Playbook so you know exactly what you’re getting.

For specific details on what’s included in your offer (Essential portraits, Signature portraits or subscription), check the service page.

  • I require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking and get on the calendar.

The remaining 50% is due before your session or before final delivery, depending on the project type.

For retainer projects, monthly or quarterly invoicing is set up in advance.

    All payments are processed securely.

  • I have a home-based studio in Montreal equipped for product photography, with controlled lighting.

I also do on-location shoots across Montreal and beyond.

For product photography, studio work is often cleaner and more controlled, but on-location is perfect for drinks or food for example.

For portraits, we can choose based on your vibe, studio or location. For campaigns and events, I’m flexible.

  • Ideally, 2–3 weeks gives us time to plan, align on creative direction, and lock your preferred date.

Rush bookings are sometimes possible depending on availability, just ask.

For subscriptions, scheduling is more flexible since we’re working together ongoing.

  • It depends on the project:

    • Product and Portrait sessions: 5–7 business days

    • Design: Up to 6 weeks depending on the project

Complex projects with revisions or retouching might take longer.

Exact timelines are confirmed in your proposal.

  • Yes. For one-off projects, reschedules are usually fine with at least one week’s notice.

For retainer projects, we have some flexibility built in, just try to give me 2 weeks notice if possible.

If you need to cancel, cancellation policies depend on how close you are to your session date.

This is all outlined in your contract.

  • Wear something that feels like you, whether that’s professional, casual, or creative.

Solid colors typically work better than busy patterns, and avoid anything too bright or neon unless that’s your vibe.

I usually suggest avoiding pure white or pure black unless that’s intentional.

Layers work great too since we can adjust during the shoot.

If you’re unsure, we can talk through options during your discovery call.

  • For studio sessions, timing is flexible since we control the lighting.

For on-location or natural light work, early morning or late afternoon usually gives the best light.

For lifestyle or event photography, it depends on your goals.

We’ll figure out the best time during our planning conversation.

  • Both. My home studio in Montreal is equipped for product photography, with controlled lighting.

We can also shoot on-location if that works better for your vibe or project.

For certain projects (like events or environmental portraits), on-location makes more sense.

For products and controlled portraits, studio is often cleaner.

Let’s discuss what works for you.

  • It starts with a discovery call to understand your goals, audience, and what success looks like.

Then I develop creative direction (mood, references, strategy).

You review and give feedback, we refine, and final assets are delivered via Playbook.

Most projects include 1–2 revision rounds depending on your package.

Complex branding projects include more touchpoints and alignment calls.

  • Yes. I offer subscriptions for ongoing products and portrait photography (monthly or quarterly), and I’m open to custom retainer arrangements for branding, design, or creative direction.

Subscriptions typically include regular sessions, scheduling priority, preferential rates for additional sessions or concepts, and creative direction aligned with the duration.

Let’s chat about what you need.

  • My process includes revision rounds and feedback opportunities, so we can adjust direction during or after the shoot if needed. I’m committed to delivering work you’re happy with.

For portrait sessions, if lighting or direction isn’t working, we can pivot during the shoot. For subscriptions, creative direction evolves with your feedback.

If something’s truly not working after revisions, we can discuss next steps. This is all outlined in your contract.

  • You get high-resolution files and web-optimized versions (for social media and websites). File formats depend on your needs: JPG, PNG, PDF, PSD, or AI depending on the project.

All files come with a commercial license for web (website, social media, online advertising).

The license terms are clear in your contract and delivery documentation.

  • I’m based in Montreal but genuinely open to travel.

I’ve done shoots across Quebec and I’m interested in on-location projects, destination shoots, and travel-based work.

If you’re in Guatemala, the Swiss Alps, or anywhere interesting with a project worth shooting, I’m probably in.

Travel costs are discussed upfront in your proposal.

  • I work with creators and brands internationally.

I manage time zones, and I deliver everything organized via Playbook so location doesn’t affect quality or communication.

Whether you’re in Montreal, France, Switzerland, or anywhere else, we can make it work.

  • Cancellation policies depend on timing:

    • More than 2 weeks out: Full refund of deposit

    • 1–2 weeks out: Deposit is non-refundable but can be rescheduled

    • Less than 1 week: No refund

For retainer projects, you can pause or adjust.

Full cancellation has different terms, check your contract.
